Steaming ahead in Science...  again!!

On Wednesday 27th July 2016, a Woodlands Primary School team of 8 girls from Year 4 were successful in the St Marys Anglican Inaugural Steaming Ahead Challenge.

All school teams participated in 5 challenges during the day to encourage scientific thinking in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts and Mathematics. The girls were joint winners of the day with a team from Wembley Primary School. They demonstrated consistently high levels of skills across all challenges, which helped them achieve this fantastic result. They also displayed Woodlands values and worked well together in all the challenges. Participating schools included Wembley PS, Karrinyup Primary School, St Mary’s Anglican School, Penrhos College, Presbyterian Ladies College, St Hildas and Perth College.

This year from 25-27th July we will be entering teams from Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 into the Steaming Ahead competition. We wish our selected students the best of luck as they represent Woodlands Primary School in this exciting challenge.
