Woodlands Junior Choir sings their way into everyone’s hearts!
Congratulations to the Junior Choir and music teacher Danielle Rees who participated in the Children's Sing Festival last week. They sang beautifully and their smiling faces and enthusiasm stole the show.
The festival is not a competition, however it provides students with the opportunity to perform and receive feedback from well-respected primary school choir directors.
Here is some of the feedback we received:
- “Well done boys and girls on the way you presented yourselves today - I could see your focus on your conductor which meant your entries were well executed”.
- “So lovely to see your singing faces helping you make a great sound”.
- “What a great choice of song for this delightful group of singers. I could hear that your singing was filled with joy!"
Our Senior Choir are now working hard on preparing for their performance for the Massed Choir Festival on 14th September, where they will perform at the Perth Concert Hall. Preparation will include cluster and technical performances, located at both the Perth Concert Hall and Churchlands SHS in the lead up to the Festival. Keep your eyes on our new school website for more information!
Well done to everyone in both the Senior and Junior Choirs, you make us proud!
