In 2016, Woodlands P&C contributed over $93,000 to the school and were able to fully fund all of the items in the forecasted budget. Well done Woodlands.
The Woodlands P&C includes a small, dedicated number of hard-working volunteers, who organise events to promote a cohesive school community, as well as raise funds to provide much needed resources and facilities for our students.
In 2016, this included $20,000 worth of reading resources for the English Department, as well as Science and Math resources.
$43,000 went towards getting the basketball courts resurfaced. The courts are getting full use this year and are enjoyed daily by students and the community! The P&C also provided new air conditioning units for PP1 and PP3, as well as money to maintain our Canteen, Uniform Shop and beautiful Urban Orchard.
The P&C organised and coordinated some fantastic social and fundraising events, such as Meet and Greet, Quiz Night, Dads’ Camp Out, Lapathon, Read-a-thon, Election Stalls and Christmas Carols.
The P&C hope to fund some very important items throughout 2017. These include; new maths resources, an upgrade to musical instruments, class sets of sports equipment, and STEM resources. P&C are also aiming to replace the damaged playground shade sails, fund a new bike enclosure, and work towards some projects to improve our outside spaces. To date the P&C have already held the yearly Meet and Greet, Election Stalls and the Entertainment Book fundraiser.
Coming up in Term 3 and 4 -Bogan Bingo,Lap-a-thon, Read-a-thon, Dads’ Camp Out and Christmas Carols.
The Woodlands P&C Committee is a great way to meet fantastic people and help support our amazing school. We always welcome new members, so come along to our meetings held on the Monday's of weeks 3 and 7 each term at 7.30pm in the school library.
