Woodlands students have the benefit of being able to access a fully resourced school library.
The school library is open from 8.30 am – 3.30 pm Monday to Friday.
It is also open at lunchtime from 12.45 pm – 1.04 pm on Wednesdays and Fridays for students.
Our Library Officer is Mrs Maria Neumann.

PP – Year 1 students are allowed to borrow 2 books per week.
Year 2 – Year 6 students are allowed to borrow 4 books per week.
Book bags are required for borrowing – we lend bags to students who forget their own and ask that they are returned at the next classroom borrowing session.

Tuesdays: PP1 (Health class), PP2, PP3, Room 1
Wednesdays: Room 3, Room 19, Room 20

Fridays: Room 12, PP3 and Garden Club
Lost and damaged books
Every chance is given to students to find their lost library books. In the case that they cannot be found, please talk to Mrs Whitehead, who will advise on the cost of replacing lost books. Parents have the choice to either replace or pay for the lost books. Payment can be made by card in the school office or by direct transfer into the school bank account (please advise the office/Mrs Whitehead by email if paying by this method). In the event books are found at a later date, paid monies are refunded.
Water damaged books are the library’s biggest challenge and students will be asked to replace or pay for damaged books.
Attached to our library is our school vegetable garden, and sustainability classes are also run out of the library. For more details on our sustainability program, please click here click here.
Book club is run by the parents and ordered and paid for online with a debit/credit card. More details on our book club will be available online soon - watch this space.
Please encourage your children to use our wonderful library!
